Who We Are

Gap Engineering, INC is built on a foundation of service and technological excellence to our customers and their employees.  Our primary market is the Coil Coating Industry.  Our specialty is the coating application process and equipment.  Our owner and primary resource of Research and Development has several patents world wide on Coil Coating Machines and technology.  "PfAS ® Coating" technology is GAP Engineering's central product.  This equipment permits precise application of a uniform wet film of paint or coating to a continuous web of material.  It is most suited for high speed, high quality lines with wet films between .0002" and .012".  This patented technology is a radically different alternative to two or three roll coating.  Using a single in-line coating machine, product changes from good metal to good metal can be completed in under 2 minute.  Operators are able to do this from an operator control panel avoiding exposure to the VOC's that are often present.  Percent solids can be dramatically increased over conventional Roll Coating technology.  New coating blends can be applied that cannot even be considered using conventional roll coating application.  Precise film thickness control can be achieved from beginning of application to end of application.  We are committed to providing a safer environment and more profitable manufacturing Coil Coating Process for our customers.    More details can be seen by visiting our "PfAS ® Technology" page.
